Scott Disick takes daughter Penelope, 12, out with friends amid Kourtney Kardashian’s rift with eldest son Mason

Scott Disick, known for his role in the Kardashian-Jenner reality TV empire, was seen out and about in Los Angeles this week with his daughter Penelope, 12. The 41-year-old doting father shares Penelope and two sons, Mason, 14, and Reign, 9, with his ex-fiancée, Kourtney Kardashian.

Scott sported a laid-back yet stylish look, perfectly embodying California’s casual vibe. He paired a simple black t-shirt with matching shorts, and in a nod to summer fashion, casually draped a pale pink sweater over his shoulders. Completing his outfit, Scott accessorized with a pair of sunglasses, a Star of David necklace, and trendy gold and white platform sneakers.

This sighting comes amid ongoing reports about Scott’s feelings regarding the relationship between Kourtney and their eldest son, Mason. Recently, Mason chose not to join a family trip to Australia with his siblings, Kourtney, and her new husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. On a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney expressed her sadness over Mason’s decision to stay with Scott rather than join the vacation.

Insiders have revealed that Scott is concerned about the growing distance between him and his children, especially as Kourtney increasingly excludes him from family vacations. According to a source, Scott feels that Kourtney’s decision to cut him out of these trips is creating a “deeper divide” between the children. He is particularly worried about Mason, who has been living with Scott and reportedly enjoys a more stable environment with his father.

Scott and Mason share a close bond, which was evident in a recent Instagram post where Scott referred to Mason as his “best friend” for life. However, the tension between Kourtney and Mason was noticeable during the season five finale of The Kardashians, where Mason was seen hesitating to hug his mother, despite her warmth towards him.

Scott and Kourtney’s relationship dates back to 2006 when they first met at the Mexican home of Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis. Their nearly decade-long romance was marked by numerous ups and downs, with Scott’s struggles with drinking and infidelity frequently causing turmoil. Throughout their relationship, they welcomed three children, with both Mason and Penelope’s births being documented on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. In 2015, after nine years of breakups and reconciliations, Scott and Kourtney finally went their separate ways.

Despite the end of his relationship with Kourtney, Scott Disick continues to be an involved and loving father to his children. His recent outing with Penelope highlights the strong bond he maintains with his kids, even as he navigates the complexities of co-parenting with Kourtney. As the family dynamics continue to evolve, it’s clear that Scott remains committed to being there for his children, ensuring that they have a stable and supportive environment.
