Chris Evans is officially off the market and married …
Evans left fans heartbroken earlier this year, after he took to Instagram to share a sweet video of his relationship with his new younger girlfriend…
And it didn’t take long for people to bring up their surprising age gap.
“The sound I just let out when I found out chris evans’ girlfriend’s age and then subsequently found out chris evans’ age…….” one person wrote.
“Their age gap is so icky like i’m sorry but i can’t even think what two people in their age brackets would have in common,” a second said.
The news clearly left a lot of people divided.
However, the pair have defied the odds.
As it has now been confirmed the two have married in an intimate home ceremony.
But some are still slamming the relationship as ‘gross.’

Next up is none other than George Clooney.
The Ocean’s Eleven actor initially won the title in 1997.
Then, he won again less than ten years later in 2006.
He told People: “I don’t go on that many dates.”
Third and finally, the last man to achieve the honor of being People’s Sexiest Man Alive is Johnny Depp.
He won firstly in 2003, and said: “Life’s pretty good, and why wouldn’t it be? I’m a pirate, after all!”
Then, the actor won again in 2009!
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is the most recent man to be honored with the award twice.
However, one actor has missed out throughout the history of the award.
Until last year.
Chris Evans, best known for playing Captain America, has finally been crowned Sexiest Man Alive.
The forty-one year old’s title was announced late last year, on both People’s website and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Evans first came onto the scene in the 2000s The New Comers, before taking on the role of Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four films in 2005 and 2007.
We can argue that he should have won both years for that one.
Speaking about how he feels about winning the title, the Lightyear voice actor told People: “My mom will be so happy.”
Adding: “She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.”
He continued: “This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about. It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.
“Really this will just be a point of bullying. It’s ripe for harassment.”
And now, Evan’s personal life has made headlines…
The actor was reportedly spotted out and about holding hands with his date last year.
According to Page Six, the couple was captured on a casual outing together in New York City on November 10.
Evans’ date wore red leggings and sneakers, while the latter donned a T-shirt paired with a baseball cap.

The wholesome video seemed to announce the couples relationship to the world.
In November, People reported that they had been dating for over a year and things were “serious.”
“They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her,” a source revealed.
The majority of his fans appear to be happy for the Captain America star, but others have pointed out their large age gap.
It seems to have left people feeling a little uncomfortable.
“So when are people gonna come out and say Chris Evans is a predator!? Some of you wanna rant about other people’s relationships with an age gap but keep hush on this!? Why I wonder!?” one Twitter user wrote.
While another added: “Sorry, he can do what he wants, but that age gap Chris Evans has going with his girlfriend is cringe. I just don’t like when men do that it’s a red flag for me personally more so for the woman, we all know what he gets out of it.”
However, some backed the star up, with one writing: “Chris Evans gf is a grown ass woman and y’all need to stop w the ‘weird age gap’ conversation. She’s 25 and she’s GROWN!”
So, who is it?
Evans confirmed that he was dating Portuguese actress, Alba Baptista. Seeing as Chris is 42 years old and Alba is 26, their 16 year age gap has certainly raised some eyebrows.
