On Sunday, Kourtney Kardashian faced backlash from fans after her Father’s Day Instagram tribute to her husband, Travis Barker, excluded any mention of her ex, Scott Disick, who is the father of her three eldest children.
However, fans quickly took to the comments section to express their disappointment over her omission of Disick, who co-parents Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9, with Kardashian.
“I actually find this so disrespectful that you haven’t included your other kids with Scott… He is the father of your 3 other children in case you had forgotten about him and them,” one user wrote. Another added, “What about Scott? ‘Grateful for the dad that you are to ALL of our kids?’ these kids have a father, he’s [sic] name is Scott.” A third commented, “What about the father to your other 3 children…. Scott? That’s crazy to not thank him. Kourt wild! Crazy,” while a fourth person said, “Wait! What Scott is the father to your oldest children? He’s a good dad too be nice to acknowledge that also .”
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that Disick spent Father’s Day with his three children, dining at Nobu in Malibu, California. The Talentless founder also shared an Instagram post showcasing a silver balloon display his kids made for him, with chrome balloons spelling out “HAPPY FATHERS DAY MPR” (the kids’ initials). “Thanks my loves 4 making this day what it is to me! ❤️,” the 41-year-old captioned the post.
Kardashian and Disick, who dated on and off from 2006 to 2015, have developed a strong co-parenting relationship. However, during an April 2022 episode of “The Kardashians,” Disick opened up about the emotional challenges he faced as Kardashian focused on building a new life with Barker. “It was a huge adjustment losing Kourtney romantically, but now it’s becoming a huge adjustment losing her as a best friend,” he told Khloé Kardashian. “Now we’re really just more co-parenters. I’d say it’s probably one of the more difficult things in my life.”
Kourtney Kardashian married Travis Barker in May 2022, and they welcomed their son, Rocky, in November 2023. Barker also has two children, Landon, 20, and Alabama, 18, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, and helped raise Moakler’s daughter Atiana, 25, from her relationship with Oscar De La Hoya.
